First Eva & Marcus made some drawings to give an idea of size and shape. Then I took over with a draft of a “Dienonocus” clutching a stone for support. The actual size of
“Dienonocus” made it a perfect fit for the bed.
Next step was to get the proportions and sizes quite right. Sufficient support throughout the construction had to be combined with a natural pose. There were also several safety
considerations regarding the ladder and the rail.
Next followed a series of more and more detailed technical drawings
Drawings on how to cut the wood...
...outlining the pieces...
...and technical drawings for them all.
At last came the paint job. Three coats of paint and some detailed brush work later the Dino-bed was ready. And yes - Victor was really happy about it !
