Our summer vacation went to England and Devon in the very far South West. Most of the time we spent at the wonderful beach at Woolacombe. But we also liked taking small trips to the villages and towns along the coast.

Several afternoons went with building gigantic sand castles during only to wait for the evening tide to sweep the dunes away for ever.

The water was Atlantic and cold, but the children braved both waves and the water. With the wind high and strong we also got into kite flying - and the boys quickly learned how to master the strings some the kites could stay aloft.
