Snowboard

Trying to improve on our snow boarding skills, Marcus, Victor and Franz-Michael took a long weekend trip to Sälen, Sweden, in March.

It was a great trip. Marcus rode the fun rides and Victor learned to take on both the blue and the red slops.

Victor lived up to his Swiss nickname “Crazy Driver” taking every slop head on and without using the brakes!

We started slowly the first morning on one of the green slops.

The night snow boarding was fun - but very cold because of the wind that night. Victor more or less blew down the slope! Here Marcus with the moon looming above.

The lifts in Sälen are not exactly “Swiss” quality - you have to insert your lift card every trip and many lifts are “pin” or “plate” styled - not ideal for snow boarders.

Full control - at last!

A picture from the fun slope in the late afternoon. Marcus is heading for one of the jumps. If you miss the touchdown, you pay with your aching body!
