My Chinese name is Mei Fei Hu. The meaning of the name Fei Hu is: "Flying Tiger". Mei is my given name in Chinese.
The funny thing about my name is, that there once
was a group of American fighter planes in China called "The Flying Tigers" with the same two characters.
I choose this name because the Tiger is a very popular animal in China.
Today, there are very few Tigers in China. But long ago the Tigers had more space and were common in many places.
In second grade at my school we talked about protecting nature. I suggested a slogan "Save the Siberian Tiger".
This was the slogan most people liked. So we
made a green tee-shirt with the best ideas from each class.
