The people in the hotel at the beach are unaware of the forces of nature that are to be unleashed soon...

They do not know that an undersea earthquake is going to begin.

Suddenly the people at the hotel can feel the earth shaking, but not violently. The quake is a hundred kilometers away from shore.

The ocean floor begins to heave and a massive wave builds up.

The wave begins to speed up to 500 kilometers per hour! After the wave has moved forward for 12 minutes the people at the hotel see the giant wall of water and begin to panic.

The Tidal Wave has just hit the shore and is about to hit the first buildings. When it hits shore the bottom part slows down but the top part keeps moving.

March 3, 1933 an earthquake struck in the Pacific about 100 miles of the coast of Japan. The earthquake did not damage Japan but set off a Tidal Wave (Tsunami). As the Tsunami raced across the Pacific towards Japan it sank nearly 8.000 ships. When it smashed into the coast it knocked over about 9.000 houses.
