This is the story of my interview with “Boba Fett” (actor Jimmy Bulloch) from the Star Wars Movies and how I won some great prizes!
One Sunday I visited a Star Wars Festival at Høje Tåstrup College. We
started off looking at some of the toys they had. Then one of my friends told me there was a drawing competition. The goal was to make the best
drawing of "Boba Fett" the bounty hunter from the Star Wars movies. I immediately started.

My brothers and I together with Jimmy Bulloch & "Boba Fett"
Meanwhile I also had a chance to interview Jimmy Bulloch; the actor who plays "Boba Fett". This is my interview:
Hello. My name is Marcus Fischer Mellbin, and I would like to interview you.
Yes? Ask away!
How was it to be an actor during the making of episode four "A new hope"?
I was not really acting in episode four. There is a clip with "Boba Fett"
when Han Solo confronts Jabba the Hut in docking bay 94 where the Millennium Falcon is perched. It was so short, that they only used my costume for the clip! However, I played during episode five "The Empire
Strikes Back" and six "The Return of the Jedi".
How was the mood during the filming?
Most of the actors were exited a few were quite nervous. It was fun working because everyone was in a good mood.
How did they make the special effect where you shoot your rope around Luke Skywalker in episode six?
Actually, I did not shoot the rope around Luke. In stead the movie is
playing in reverse and the clips are set together in the opposite direction of the actual filming. So the rope was in fact pulled back into my glove when I caught him.
...and the clip where you fly with a jet pack?
Of course I did not fly! When I threw my arms forward I grabbed a rope and
I was pulled up and forwards. At the same time they put sparks to the jet pack so it looked as if it was a real jet pack that carried me up into the air.
Who were your best friends during the filming?
I knew most of the English actors; Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), Darth Vader (David Prowse), Obi Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness) and many
others and then of course also the director George Lucas. I did not know Harry Ford and Kerry Fischer who are both American actors.
How long did the filming take?
It was very expensive making all the special effects back then, so everything had to made very quickly. So we made lots of shots every day.
How did they make your costume?
A lot of my costume was improvised. My armor plating was just plastic that was painted, just like the blaster guns and the light sabres.
Thank you for the interview. Could I have your autograph?!?
Yes! Certainly!
I thought it was really great interviewing Jimmy Bullock. He was very friendly and we had good time to make the interview without being
disturbed.
 Victor interviewing Jimmy Bulloch
My little brother was encouraged, so he also made his own short interview. Here goes;
Hello. My name is Victor Mellbin. Can you tell me how it was falling down into the Great Pit of Carcoon?
It was itchy with all the sand getting into my costume and my shoes!
Can I have your autograph?
Sure!
 The two autographs
Afterwards I went back and finished my drawing. Before I finished my drawing I noticed that all of the other drawings had a blue or white
background with a yellow sun. So instead I made a yellow background and an orange sun.
Jimmy Bullochs wife was to be the judge of the drawing contest. She immediately noticed my drawing because of the background. She looked
at the picture for a long time, then she went on and looked at a few others and came back and put the number "1" on my drawing!!! You can see the number on the picture below.
The first prize was great! There was one Sith Speeder Game, one Qui Gunn-Jinn light sabre and a large Gungan Sub Lego set, plus seven Star
Wars Lego post cards. I was thrilled.
My drawing of Boba Fett (I asked Jimmy Bulloch to sign it afterwards)
That evening I tried out the Sith Speeder game. But I was not very good at it. All in all it was a good day for the whole family.
Since it all happened on November 5, 2000, I have changed my lucky number to Five!
