Victors Chinese name is Mei Wei Hu. The meaning of the name Wei Hu is: "The Strong Tiger". Mei is his given name in Chinese.

Originally we wanted to call him “Wei Long” or “The Strong Dragon”. However, the Chinese advised strongly against that. “With a Tiger and a Dragon in the same house there will never be any peace” they said.

To maintain balance and harmony in the Family the name had to be changed. We reverted to the Tiger character. In China people think it is better to make sure that each generation of the Family shares a common character.

Wei Hu is a popular Chinese name in the countryside. Here peasants often choose names with animal characters that carry a long symbolic tradition.
